NESPRESSO AND ITS EXPERTISE

January, Lyon, France.

For the most of you guys, Nespresso is probably just a great coffee with great coffee machines - but in fact Nespresso does a lot besides that. Have you ever heard something about the Nespresso Atelier? No? What about Nespresso being the supplier at the Bocuse d' Or - the most exclusive and important cooking contest on the planet? No? What about the fact, that Nespresso is creating very special coffee capsules only for Michelin star premiered restaurants or that it just launched the first home barista capsule maschine? No, no & no? Then let me introduce you to the world of Nespresso. (You d better not be hungry at this point! ;) )

Lets start with the Nespresso Atelier, where I was amazingly lucky to be invited to join the whole Nespresso experience in Lyon & to get a taste of Nespresso coffee expertise in all its facets and colors.

The Nespresso Atelier which is kind of a workshop with different Nespresso products & especially its newest launched ones, was organized for selected people from press, the Nespresso staff from all over Europe and very special & loyal customers.

The whole Nespresso Atelier day consisted of 3 workshops during the day and a dinner in the evening. All three workshops were created and set up, in order to get more insights of the Nespresso expertise.
The first workshop was a fine whiskey tasting paired with the new Nespresso Selection Vintage 2014 - I had already the great opportunity to take part in a very similar tasting not so long ago in Munich, so I will not get into details now - just read it here!.

The second workshop was a small but very, very fine and delicious tasting of crazy food creations all done by the 2* Michelin star cook Edwin Vinke. The special and interesting thing about this workshop: all the food was created to match or to support the taste of selected Nespresso coffees. Additionally food was served which was infused with coffee. I know it sounds weird but trust me guys, it was a complete new experience in terms of taste and the use of coffee for me.

The third and last workshop was all about creating the perfect Nespresso coffee with the even more perfect milk foam - all made with the new Creatista Plus machine.

To discover this whole new and special coffee taste at home, Nespresso introduced its extraordinary and fancy coffee machine - the CREATISTA PLUS.
Its not only the newest and best Nespresso machine so far but it is a Coffee maschine, that will bring you the ultimate barista experience. It is the first Nespresso machine that allows you to create latte art with its multiple milk foam textures. Creatista Plus is the result of a collaboration of two iconic brands combining their expertise. Nespresso brings its coffee expertise and quality, unprecedented system, convenience and simplicity whilst Breville brings stunning kitchen appliance design and its unique automatic steam wand technology.

With Creatista Plus, coffee aficionados - like me - with a penchant for hot milk-based recipes will be able to conveniently create everything from a classic creamy Cappuccino through to a velvety smooth Flat White or even a Latte that can be topped with a beautiful milk foam design. And the best thing is: The machine does everything by itself!

Eliminating the hassle, Creatista Plus does the hard work for you: after selecting your preferred coffee, simply fill the provided milk jug and place it on the temperature sensor. The milk is then automatically heated to the ideal temperature and the steam wand froths it to the perfect texture for your selected drink. The machine comes equipped with a menu of milk-based recipes with different foam textures, temperatures and quantities recommended by the Nespresso experts but you can also personalise the settings of coffee at each stage from the intuitive menu.

As we all know already, innovation, style and design are at the heart of Nespresso. The brand is constantly evolving its machines to consistently deliver the highest quality coffee experience. The new Creatista Plus machine caters to the growing number of us coffee lovers looking to personalise our coffee moments. The machine offers a wide range of features all designed to enrich the coffee experience :

- Adjustable automatic milk texturing for Flat White, Cappuccino, Café Latte and Latte Macchiato
- Also generates ‘micro-milk foam’ which is essential for latte art creation
- Adjustable milk temperature
- Fast self-cleaning
- Intuitive colour display offering step by step assistance for coffee personalisation and maintenance
- Fast heat up
- Automatic power off after 10 minutes of non-use

Not bad right!?

Claire Cloatre-Vinzant, Head of Machines Marketing at Nespresso explained, “We are
constantly looking to offer our Club Members new and exciting ways to enjoy coffee at home. We partnered with iconic Australian kitchen appliance brand Breville, known for their
innovation and thoughtful design, to launch Creatista Plus. Combining our coffee expertise
and pioneering Nespresso machine system with the Breville automatic steam wand technology, means we are able to offer multiple milk foam textures and temperatures
allowing users to customise their coffees and create incredible works of latte art to impress guests with.”

The Australian kitchen appliance brand Breville is renowned for its innovation and stylish, modern designs. The Creatista Plus machine features these design cues with a polished stainless steel exterior, rounded edges and chrome details, making it the ideal addition to any kitchen. Creatista Plus also comes equipped with a milk jug. I can definitely tell you guys, that its the most stylish Nespresso machine you have seen!

The new Nespresso Creatista Plus machine is available since November 2016 (in select markets - unfortunately not in Germany SO FAR (!) BUT available staring summer! ) at Nespresso boutiques and online at www.nespresso.com priced at €499.

Last but not least, the whole day ended with an extraordinary Dinner created again by Edwin Vinke, being supported by Sébastien Bouillet, one of the best patissiers & Arvid Rosengren, the best sommelier in the world in 2016.

On the next Day i had additionally the chance to visit the Bocuse d' Or, an international cooking contest, which is the hardest and most prestigious in the world. Nespresso is the offical supplier of Bocuse d' Or and gave us guests an exclusive tour through the whole hall of the contest. You find out more about the Bocuse d' Or - here.

I hope I was able to give you a little insight into the world and expertise of Nespresso in terms of coffee and its many different but very special and interesting projects.

Stay tuned for another very cool and again complete different Nespresso project & the story behind it. Soon more here on dennmitch.com
