Individual architecture for an exceptional location
Wempe opens its world's largest flagship store in the Maximilianarkaden in Munich
Guys! Good news! If you're looking for THE place to buy luxury & high-end jewelry, as well as watches, there is a new address in town... the new Wempe flagship store on Maximilianstrasse 6 in Munich!
February, 2017.
The Hamburg-based family business invested 9 million Euros, over 12 months of renovation time, employed over 50 companies, over 300 craftsmen to create a contemporary, eye-catching store directly opposite the national theater. A modern architectural jewel has been created. A sculptural staircase with a weight of over 33 tons forms the center, connects three floors and invites you to open up the "Maison Jardin Wempe" as walking a garden. In the architectural stress field of the historical arcades and the implanted new building, an organic molding language developed. Beautiful, big but yet very comfortable and cosy!
Tradition and innovation meets in one room. The world of watches and jewels presents itself in an ambience characterized by craftsmanship. The beauty of nature, such as the green colored quartzite stone as an allusion to the former mint garden, as well as their use in the interior are the main theme and relate to the Haute Joaillerie and Haute Horlogerie. So in the execution is an inspiring, delicate and careful use of the materials as well as their grown structures.
The elegant neighborhood marks the "Next Big Step" of the company after the expansion in New York.
